The Revelation:  The Final Checkmate of the Final Game
Friday, October 26, 2007, posted by Steve McCranie - (41.10)

  The Revelation!
It's like playing chess with Bobby Fischer.  Bishop, Knight, Rook, Pawn... all power pieces in the Grandmaster's end game.

Gog, Magog, Meshech and Tubal... huh?

Like what kind of chess pieces are these?  And who exactly is this Grandmaster?

Stay tuned and find out...

Note:  This is a study of Revelation 6

Excuse me?

"Oh, yea.  It say that John saw a Lamb as if slain when he spose to be seein' a Lion or a Root or somtin' like dat.  It be outta 'dis world!  It be like a Houdini or somethin'.  Really powerful."

The Revelation:  Time, Times and Half-Time
Tuesday, October 9, 2007, posted by Steve McCranie - (37:09)

  The Revelation!
How many ways can the Bible teach us about the same thing?

For example...
Daniel calls it "time, times and half time" and the "middle of the 70th week."
John in the Revelation refers to it as "42 months" and later as "1,260 days."
Jesus calls it the Great Tribulation... and it's right on our doorstep.

What is?  The 3 1/2 year period known as the Great Tribulation, that's what.

"Ain't you been reading the papers or watching the news?  What, you been raised in a barn?"

Note:  This is a study of Revelation 5:1-5

The Revelation:  John, Paul, George and Ringo... Not!
Sunday, October 7, 2007, posted by Steve McCranie - (39:52)

  The Revelation!
Let's see,

"She loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah!"
or...
"Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come."

Wow.  Some difference.
The Fab Four, the Mop Tops, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band... or the Four Living Creatures before the throne.
Geez.  This deserves a bit more investigation...

Note:  This is a study of Revelation 4:4-8

The Joy of Believing the Lie

“I’m completely in favor of the separation of Church and State.
My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own,
so that both of them together is certain death.”
George Carlin (1937- )

I am keenly aware of the fact that you may be wondering about a guy who would write a book entitled, Love Jesus, Hate Church. You probably have some questions, maybe many questions, about the origins of a book that makes people as uncomfortable as Love Jesus, Hate Church has proven to do.
You may be asking yourself, "How can you be a Christian and use the words Love and Hate and Jesus and Church all in the same sentence?  It just seems so wrong."
And, you're right. It does seem wrong.
     True.  But wrong.

Yep, I would probably be wondering the same thing if the tables were turned and I found myself in your shoes.

So, let me see if I can shed some light on who I am and why I do what I do by telling you a bit about myself and how I came to write Love Jesus, Hate Church.  Let me share with you, oh, how shall I put it— the joy of believing the lie. I believe this will give you a better grasp of who I am and why I wrote Love Jesus, Hate Church.
