LOVE JESUS, HATE CHURCH |OCTOBER 2007
Love
Jesus, Hate Church:
A
quick update...
Jesus said, "We
must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is
coming when no one can work." John 9:4
I know
you are probably just about as slammed with emails as I am...
click, click, click, day and night, with
no end in sight, until your mouse finger gets a blister.
And, I also know that each email you receive probably gets
the customary 2 second scan before the decision is made to
read or delete or, for those of you with good
intentions, save for later.
So, let me make this short and sweet.
We have just posted three new
Love Jesus, Hate Church
podcasts this last week and want to encourage you to listen,
or download, or share or forward
them to anyone you know who might be encouraged
or strengthened by the
Love Jesus, Hate Churchmessage (in addition to the free
book
download we are also offering).
Remember, these podcasts, like the
book, are free of charge
and can be copied and freely distributed as often as you like.
So, looks like my 2 seconds are up.
Until next time,
Steve McCranie
"You know, this ain't the way church is suppose to be.
Something
must be wrong, bad wrong."
The Revelation! How many ways can the Bible teach us about the same
thing?
For example...
Daniel calls it "time, times and half time" and the
"middle of the 70th week." John in the Revelation refers
to it as "42 months" and later as "1,260 days." Jesus
calls it the Great Tribulation... and it's right on our
doorstep.
What is? The 3 1/2 year period known as the Great
Tribulation, that's what.
"Ain't you been reading the papers or watching the news?
What, you been raised in a barn?"
"She
loves you, yeah, yeah, yeah!"
or...
"Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God, the Almighty,
who was and who is and who is to come."
Wow. Some
difference.
The Fab Four, the Mop Tops, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart
Club Band... or the Four Living Creatures before the
throne.
Geez. This deserves a bit more investigation...
The Revelation:
"Squeeze
Me... uh, on second thought, don't!"

The Revelation! I think Steve Camp says it best...
The
world was a very good
friend of mine
It promised everything I wanted in life
It came to me with its passion and gold
I bought it for a while it nearly
cost me my soul.
Don't you know the world will tease you,
it will seize you,
it will squeeze you
until you are in to its mold
Love the world and the
love of the Father is not in us. Pretty strong,
but true, words.
